The Canadian Endowment for the Humanities and Social Sciences was established by the Federation in 2001 to build secure, sustainable and long-term support for the organization's objectives and activities on behalf of its members.
Building
on the Federation's long history
as convenor of and advocate for the humanities and social sciences
in Canada, the Endowment will serve to enhance objectives in
five general areas:
- Outreach and Advocacy
- Renewing Scholarly Infrastructure
- Awards and Recognition
- Enhancing Dissemination of Research
- Research Development
