Find your association

Associations play a pivotal role in the research world, and are instrumental in ensuring a strong infrastructure for researchers, practitioners, new scholars and graduate students.

Canadian scholarly associations:

  • help strengthen research collaboration through membership;
  • engage scholars from all parts of the country;
  • facilitate the development of new research areas, often interdisciplinary in nature;
  • provide a forum for Canadian scholars who are active in the development of research policy;
  • support the development of young scholars;
  • disseminate research through journals and annual conferences;
  • maintain links with international scholarship;
  • encourage links with non-academic researchers and research users.
