Created in 1996 as the result of the merger of the Social Science Federation of Canada and of the Canadian Federation for the Humanities, the Federation is the representative of a long tradition of Canadian academic excellence. Its members and leadership are representing every university across Canada and the rich spectrum of disciplines that comprise the social sciences and humanities.
