MEDIA ADVISORY: The City of Ottawa will proclaim the national capital Canada’s Knowledge Destination during the month of May 2009
Ottawa, May 7, 2009 — Next Monday, May 11, 2009, the City of Ottawa will officially proclaim the national capital Canada’s knowledge destination during the Month of May 2009 because two of the most important scientific conference will take place in Ottawa this month.
Carleton University and the University of Ottawa will indeed respectively host the annual conference of the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences (CFHSS) and the Association francophone pour le savoir (Acfas), during which some 13,000 researchers, university professors and students will converge in Ottawa.
